Nestled amongst the picturesque South Downs countryside, the Grade II listed country house offered a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Every morning, the delicious full English breakfast made with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients was a true delight. I especially enjoyed the homemade marmalades and fruits that were available alongside the hearty selection. the atmosphere at breakfast was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect start to each day of exploring the area. The bright and airy rooms at Cleavers Lyng were beautifully appointed, offering stunning views over the Pevensey levels towards the Southdowns. the private bathrooms were well-equipped with complimentary toiletries and the king-size bed with a luxury mattress ensured a comfortable night's sleep. I particularly appreciated the separate sitting room in my room, complete with a small sofa for relaxation. the peaceful surroundings and attentive service made my stay at Cleavers Lyng-Guest house truly memorable.
